Message From the Principal |
|
|
| Hello Dunwiddie Families,
It was great to see everyone’s school spirit during Homecoming Week last week! Thank you for helping make it a fun and memorable time for our students. As we head into another week, we look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and make each day a great one at Dunwiddie.
With fall conferences coming up in a few weeks, we are looking forward to connecting with families to celebrate student growth, share progress, and discuss ways we can continue working together to support each child’s success. These conversations are an important part of building strong home-school partnerships, and we appreciate you taking the time to connect with your child’s teacher.
Thank you for your continued support of our Dolphin community. Mr. Kiesow |

Student Photos and Retake Day |
|
|
| If your child missed getting their picture taken during Great Start Conferences, or if you'd like a retake, we've scheduled another opportunity for photos on Tuesday, October 20th.
After your child had their picture taken, you should have received an email notification that the photos were ready to view online. You can also look them up directly on the VIP website at vipis.com. |
Once you find your child's pictures, you'll be able to: |
- Select the photo for the yearbook/composite. Be sure to do this soon so a picture isn't chosen for you!
- Order photos and prints to be delivered directly to your home.

District Nurse Message Regarding Head Lice |
Unfortunately, head lice is a nuisance that commonly affects school age children and their families. There is no known effective way to completely prevent head lice. The best tactic for combating head lice is early detection and thorough treatment. Please check your child for evidence of lice weekly and notify the school if you find any nits or live bugs. Please see this Head Lice Information Sheet from the Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department that provides further information on head lice including how to effectively check for lice and recommended treatment.

The Port Washington-Saukville School District is offering free developmental screenings for three- and four-year-old children to help identify and support early learning or developmental needs. Parents are encouraged to schedule an appointment if they have concerns about their child's speech, physical, or overall development, as early intervention can make a significant difference before starting school.
